Here's a follow up to the Leica notebook I made a year ago for the same mate who's also into simple and classic design and one of his heroes is Dieter Rams, the influential industrial designer who is responsible for many of the iconic consumer products from Braun and Vitsoe and who was a great influence on Jony Ive at Apple among others.
Inspired by a talk he gave (my mate that is) on Rams' 10 Principles of Good Design, I tried to come up with something that ticked the boxes of useful, aesthetic, unobtrusive, honest and long lasting and used the speaker grill shapes from the Braun RT20 and the T41 audios cut out of the cover cloth and nicked a montage of Rams' Braun products from his website (brighterside.co.uk where you can read more about the 10 Principles) for the endpapers.
